A motorcycle crash in Ulster County on June 1, 2026, claimed the life of a 22-year-old Poughkeepsie man.
According to the New York State Police, troopers responded to a report of the accident on Route 299 in the Town of Lloyd around 9:29 p.m.
Police said a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling eastbound when it struck the rear of a dump trailer moving in the same direction. The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was identified as Felix A. Amaro Soriano, 22, of Poughkeepsie, NY. First responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene and transported him to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The crash is under investigation by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
