FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A 22-year-old motorcyclist from West Bloomfield Township died following a collision on Northwestern Highway.
The incident occurred at 3:45 p.m. near Northwestern Highway and 14 Mile Road. According to the Farmington Hills Police Department (FHPD), multiple 911 calls prompted a swift response from paramedics.
Upon arrival, officers found the motorcycle rider and administered first aid until medical personnel could take over. The rider was transported to Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities said the FHPD Traffic Safety Section is investigating the crash. Preliminary findings indicate that excessive speed may have been a contributing factor. The driver of the car involved was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.
No lane closures were reported in relation to the incident.
