DOVER, DE — A fatal motorcycle crash occurred Monday night at approximately 8 p.m. on North DuPont Highway near Lepore Drive.
According to the Dover Police Department, a Jeep Wrangler was turning left from North DuPont Highway onto Lepore Drive when it entered the path of a southbound Yamaha R1 motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Jeep.
Authorities found the motorcyclist, 22-year-old Emmanuel Farmer of Smyrna, with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators have stated it is currently undetermined if impairment was a factor, although they believe Farmer was speeding before the collision. No charges have been filed as the investigation is ongoing.
