A 23-year-old man from Edgewater died in a single-vehicle crash early February 20 on Solomons Island Road, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Authorities said officers responded at 2:05 a.m. to the scene near Poplar Point Road. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling south on Solomons Island Road when it veered off the roadway, entered the median, and struck a tree.
The driver was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Anne Arundel County Police Crash Investigation Team is actively investigating the incident.
