Police: 24-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash with SUV in Perry Township
PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving an SUV on Friday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:58 p.m. at the intersection of US Route 68 and State Route 123. Authorities report that 24-year-old Adam Bockhorst, riding a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, was traveling southwest on US Route 68.
As Bockhorst approached the intersection, his motorcycle collided with a 2017 Nissan Rogue traveling eastbound, which had failed to stop at a stop sign, officials said.
The impact caused the SUV to veer off-road and strike a traffic sign; the motorcycle came to rest in the middle of the highway.
Bockhorst, a resident of Pleasant Plain, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 38-year-old driver of the SUV was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Emergency response included the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Fayetteville Fire & EMS, and the Ohio Department of Transportation, among others. Collin’s Towing and the Brown County Coroner’s Office also responded.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation into the crash.
