Multiple-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 Leaves One Injured

MOUNT PLEASANT, Oct. 12 — A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 101 northbound near Exit 35 at approximately 3:15 p.m., resulting in one confirmed injury.

According to authorities, the collision involved four vehicles, including a compact car, a pickup truck, and two SUVs. Emergency responders from the Mount Pleasant Fire Department arrived on the scene to provide medical aid. One individual sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mount Pleasant Medical Center for evaluation.

Witnesses reported that the accident caused significant traffic delays, leading to temporary lane closures in both the left and center lanes. State Patrol is conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.

Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the vehicles from the roadway, and full clearance was expected by 5:00 p.m. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion.
