ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A 24-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash involving an SUV on Friday, August 7, at 8:50 p.m.
The incident occurred at the intersection of 11th Street NE and eastbound Orange Ave, according to Roanoke Police.
Roanoke Fire-EMS provided medical assistance to the motorcyclist, identified as Joshua Moore, who was ejected from the motorcycle.
Moore was transported to Carilion Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities reported that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation, according to police.
