A 36-year-old man died Tuesday evening after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County.
Virginia State Police (VSP) reported the incident occurred at 6:07 p.m., approximately half a mile south of Brughes Mill Road. The crash involved a 1994 Harley Davidson and a 2002 Honda pickup truck.
According to VSP, the motorcycle was weaving between vehicles when it collided with the rear of the pickup. The motorcyclist, identified as Andrew David Lee Camp of Callaway, was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda pickup was not injured, authorities said. The VSP Crash Reconstruction Team is assisting with the investigation, and no charges are pending at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing, VSP stated.
