TOWN OF HAMMEL, Wis. — A 56-year-old Medford man was killed in a motorcycle crash on County Road M Monday morning, according to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that dispatchers received a welfare check request at 10 a.m. after the man failed to show up for work. Cell phone data indicated his last known location was on County Road M east of Perkinstown.
A 911 call from a passerby alerted officials to a motorcycle and an unresponsive man in a ditch near the 9600 block of County Road M shortly thereafter. Taylor County Sheriff’s deputies and EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the rider dead.
