ROSS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 47-year-old man died following a motorcycle crash on M-89 near 46th Street on Tuesday night.
Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers responded to the incident at approximately 10:15 p.m.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed into a guardrail.
The road conditions were wet due to recent rain, according to MSP.
The Dowling man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, despite wearing a helmet.
MSP indicated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to have played a role in the crash.
As the investigation continues, MSP reminds drivers to adhere to posted speed limits and adjust their speeds according to roadway conditions.
