Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Dead in Hopkinton
HOPKINTON, RI – A single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Clarks Falls Road claimed the life of 45-year-old Donald Hopkins on October 3 at approximately 11:15 p.m.
According to the Hopkinton Police Department, officers discovered Hopkins unresponsive in a wooded area alongside his motorcycle. The initial investigation indicates that he was traveling from Main Street toward the Connecticut line when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck a rock, resulting in loss of control.
Emergency responders provided medical aid, but Hopkins was pronounced dead at the scene. The police have confirmed that there were no other vehicles involved in the incident.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Towing operations were conducted to remove the motorcycle, and Clarks Falls Road was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.
