65-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured in Escambia County Crash on Michigan Avenue.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A 65-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a crash involving an SUV on Michigan Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Marseille Drive.

Authorities reported that the SUV, carrying four individuals including children, was stopped at a stop sign while northbound on Marseille Drive.

The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on State Road 296 in the outside lane. As the SUV attempted to make a left turn onto State Road 296, the motorcyclist accelerated and collided with the left side of the vehicle.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He received a citation for operating a motorcycle without a proper endorsement.

No other injuries were reported from the crash. The scene was managed by local emergency services, and the accident remains under investigation.
