DORSET, VERMONT – Actor Treat Williams, 71, died following a motorcycle accident on Vermont Route 30 on Monday, June 12, just before 5 p.m.
Authorities said the crash involved a Honda Element and a 1986 Honda motorcycle driven by Williams. The SUV, operated by 35-year-old Ryan Koss, attempted to turn left into a parking lot, stopping briefly before turning into the motorcycle’s path.
Williams was thrown from his motorcycle upon impact and sustained critical injuries. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Koss suffered minor injuries but refused hospital treatment.
