Maryland Motorcyclist Airlifted and Passenger Hospitalized Following Route 50 Collision with Lexus, Police Report.

Motorcycle Crash Sends Centreville Resident to Shock Trauma Center

A Centreville man was seriously injured in a collision involving an SUV on Route 50 in Queen Anne’s County on September 29 around 5 p.m.

Authorities said Jesse Paul, 17, was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound when he collided with a Lexus SUV making a left turn from westbound Route 50 onto Arrington Road. Paul was flown to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment of his injuries.

A passenger in the Lexus, 72-year-old Donald Gibson of Queenstown, was taken by ambulance to the University of Maryland Shore Emergency Center. The SUV’s driver was not injured, police reported.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team investigated the scene, closing the highway for over an hour. Crews from the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration provided support. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to authorities.
