DOUGLAS COUNTY (WJON News) — A motorcycle crash on Thursday evening in Douglas County resulted in one fatality. Authorities have identified the rider as 65-year-old James Schlosser of Alexandria.
The accident occurred just after 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 45 and Lakota Drive Southwest. Initial reports indicate the motorcycle collided with a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old Alexandria resident.
Emergency responders, including a North Memorial Ambulance, arrived on the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Schlosser was transported to Alomere Health Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Minnesota State Patrol is conducting a reconstruction of the crash.
No further details regarding lane closures or additional injuries have been released. The investigation remains ongoing, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
