One man is dead and another is hospitalized following a shooting in Cordele Saturday night, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 6:44 p.m. on the 1300 block of Drayton Road. Officers found two adult male victims at the scene and initiated emergency first aid, but one victim was pronounced dead shortly after, as reported by the Cordele Police Department.
The second victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and no additional details about potential suspects have been disclosed.
