A fatal crash involving two vehicles closed an intersection in Lenawee County for several hours.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on M-50 at the intersection with M-52 around 3:15 p.m. Emergency responders, including local law enforcement and medical aid, arrived on the scene shortly after the accident was reported.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Investigators are assessing the cause of the collision, which involved a sedan and a pickup truck. The area remained closed for several hours as tow crews worked to clear the wreckage and authorities conducted their investigation.
Motorists were advised to avoid the intersection and seek alternate routes during the cleanup and investigation.
