Motorcyclist Dies in Crash Involving Two Vehicles in Phoenix
PHOENIX — A motorcyclist died following a crash with two vehicles near Bell Road and 12th Street on Sunday evening, according to Phoenix Police.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police reported that the motorcycle caught fire after the impact. Witnesses indicated the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with a vehicle turning left, which then struck a second vehicle stopped at a traffic light.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the first vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized.
Authorities have restricted access to the area as detectives investigate the incident.
