Crestline, CA – A motorcycle crash on State Route 138 near State Route 18 resulted in one fatality on May 26, 2026, at approximately 3:49 p.m.
The deceased rider has been identified as 55-year-old Johnny Ramirez Jr. of Fontana, according to the San Bernardino County Medical Examiner’s Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that a white Ford Mustang GT collided with Ramirez’s motorcycle, though the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. Details regarding injuries to the Mustang’s driver have not been released, and there have been no reported arrests.
CHP officers responded promptly to the scene and managed lane closures while investigating and clearing the wreckage. The roadway was temporarily closed but has since been reopened.
