A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday morning in a crash on Interstate 10 westbound in Jackson County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP).
Authorities reported that Gautier police notified MHP of the incident around 3 a.m. The westbound lanes of I-10 were closed until approximately 6 a.m. for initial response and then again around 7 a.m. for a crash reconstruction.
The identity of the deceased motorcyclist has not been released as the investigation is ongoing, authorities said. Motorists should expect delays in the area as police continue their work.
