Troy Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident
A motorcycle accident in Glenwood, Alabama, claimed the life of 45-year-old Robbie Walters on March 9, 2026.
According to authorities, Walters was involved in a collision that resulted in fatal injuries. Emergency responders, including local medical teams, arrived at the scene but were unable to resuscitate him.
Walters was a resident of Troy, where he worked as an engineer for Wiley Sanders. He was remembered for his devotion to family, his passion for rebuilding computers with his son Brady, and his love for outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Sue McLendon, stepfather Ricky McLendon, father Leon Walters, and his son, Brady Walters. He was also engaged to Jodi Grissett, with whom he had recently planned a wedding.
Visitation for Walters will be held on March 15, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. Funeral services are scheduled for March 16, 2026, at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery. Services will be officiated by his brother, Pastor Brian McLendon.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
