WEST PLAINS MOTORCYCLE CRASH CLAIMS LIFE OF 21-YEAR-OLD
A 21-year-old man, Logan Day-Tarlton, died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening near West Plains, MO, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on County Road 8240, about 2 miles east of West Plains. Authorities reported that Day-Tarlton was riding a 2026 CF Moto motorcycle, which failed to negotiate a curve, veered off the road, and struck a stump. He was pronounced dead shortly after the incident by Howell County Coroner Tim Cherry.
This marks the 13th traffic fatality in 2023 in the nine-county Troop G area, compared to 16 fatalities during the same period last year. Emergency responders from the Howell County Rural Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Arrangements for Day-Tarlton are being handled by Yarber Mortuary in Mtn. View. A visitation is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Yarber Chapel, followed by a funeral service. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Birch Tree.

The accident remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
