(WJAR) — A motorcycle crash on Route 1 in South Kingstown late Tuesday night resulted in one death.
The South Kingstown Police Department responded at approximately 10:15 p.m. to the incident near Torrey Road.
Authorities identified the victim as 28-year-old Michael D. Fletcher, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene, according to police.
Preliminary investigations indicate that no other vehicles were involved, and Fletcher may have lost control of his motorcycle near the Tower Hill Fire Station.
Authorities believe that speed was a contributing factor to the crash. They urge any witnesses to contact them at 401-783-3321, ext. 5004.
