BOSTON — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston around 11 p.m. on Monday.
Mark Ganong, 54, of Waltham, was pronounced dead at the scene after losing control of his motorcycle and striking the median, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The incident occurred on the eastbound lanes of the highway in the Allston section. The left lanes of the Mass Pike, both east and westbound, were closed for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
The cause of the crash, including potential factors such as speed or weather conditions, remains unclear at this time.
