LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A motorcycle crash on North Nellis Boulevard on Friday night resulted in life-threatening injuries for the rider, officials confirmed.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 10:03 p.m. north of Cedar Avenue. A 2005 Honda VTX1300 motorcycle was traveling southbound in the center lane.
Authorities reported that a 32-year-old woman driving a 2019 Kia Optima exited a private drive onto North Nellis Boulevard when the collision occurred. The Kia allegedly failed to yield the right of way, resulting in a collision between the motorcycle and the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The motorcycle rider was transported to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, while the Kia driver sustained minor injuries. There was no reported injury to the passenger in the Kia.
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is handling the ongoing investigation into the crash.
