Motorcycle Crash in Wyoming Claims Life of Grand Rapids Man
WYOMING, Mich. — A motorcycle collision early Friday morning resulted in the death of a 45-year-old Grand Rapids man.
The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of 32nd Street and Eastern Avenue. Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling south on Eastern Avenue at a green light when a northbound car turned left onto 32nd Street, colliding with the motorcycle.
The car’s driver, a 50-year-old Grand Rapids woman, remained at the scene and was treated for minor injuries before being taken into custody. Law enforcement suspects she may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The case has been referred to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office to determine potential charges.
