HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A 62-year-old Dunnellon man was killed, and a 61-year-old woman was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 275 on Saturday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound at approximately 2:41 p.m. when he lost control near milepost 53, close to Bearss Avenue.
The motorcycle left the roadway and overturned, resulting in fatal injuries to the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities are investigating the crash, and further details will be released as they become available.
