A Bridgeport woman injured in a motorcycle crash on April 16 has died from her injuries, city officials reported on April 19.
Natalie Velez, 41, succumbed to her injuries on April 19. The accident occurred around 8:45 p.m. when Velez was riding her motorcycle on Newfield Avenue. Authorities said she lost control, struck a utility pole, and crashed through a gate at 560 Newfield Avenue.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Emergency responders were on the scene, and medical aid was administered. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no additional injuries were reported.
