SHANNON COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – An 18-year-old man from Winona died in a motorcycle accident involving an ambulance on Highway 19 Sunday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred approximately six miles south of Winona around 8:35 a.m.
A 2005 Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by the 18-year-old, was traveling northbound when it collided with a 2023 Ford ambulance making a left turn.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed.
The 32-year-old ambulance driver, from West Plains, was not injured. Both riders were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
This incident marks the fifth fatality in Troop G for 2026, compared to six fatalities at the same time last year.
