A 27-year-old man was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash involving a truck on East Hartland Road in Barkhamsted on Sunday afternoon.
According to State Police, Matthew William Sherwood was traveling southbound when he collided with a Kenworth truck backing into a driveway around 2:41 p.m. Sherwood was transported to Winsted Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The truck driver was unharmed and declined medical treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are seeking witnesses. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Trooper Montano at Troop B at (860) 626-1820.
