KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Raytown Road late Sunday night.
According to Kansas City police, the rider was operating a customized American Chopper motorcycle southbound on Raytown Road when they lost control.
The motorcycle crossed the double yellow center line, entered a ditch, and overturned, ejecting the rider.
Authorities stated the rider was pronounced dead at the scene by Grandview EMS.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
This marks the 14th traffic fatality of the year in Kansas City, compared to 10 fatalities reported at the same time last year.
