LABETTE COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) – A Missouri man died in a motorcycle crash on US-400 Saturday morning, according to officials.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred at approximately 7:25 a.m. near milepost 388, when a 2005 Harley-Davidson FLHR Road traveling westbound left the roadway for unknown reasons.
The motorcycle then entered the south ditch and overturned. Authorities reported that the driver, a 69-year-old male from Walnut Shade, Mo., sustained fatal injuries.
The Kansas Highway Patrol noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
An investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been confirmed regarding potential lane closures or towing.
