LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) – A crash involving a motorcycle and a deer left one woman dead and a man seriously injured on Highway 6.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 8:45 p.m. on October 5, two miles east of Lewistown.
A 67-year-old man, driving a Honda Goldwing, and a 74-year-old woman as his passenger struck the deer. The woman was pronounced dead after being transported to University Hospital in Columbia.
The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
