Motorcycle Crash in Ankeny Injures Two, Closes Lanes
ANKENY, IA — A motorcycle accident on Saturday resulted in two injuries and lane closures on the eastbound lanes of Highway 69.
The crash occurred around 2:41 p.m. involving a motorcycle and an SUV. Authorities confirmed two individuals were injured and received medical attention on the scene.
Emergency services from the ANKENY POLICE DEPARTMENT and ANKENY FIRE DEPARTMENT responded promptly. No fatalities were reported.
As a result of the incident, the eastbound lanes were closed for approximately two hours while the crash was cleared and an investigation took place. Towing services were also on-site to assist with the vehicles involved.
Authorities said more details will be released as the investigation continues. Witnesses reported seeing the motorcycle maneuvering rapidly before the collision occurred.
