DANBURY, CT — A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a car resulted in one fatality on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Route 37 near the intersection with Old Farm Road. Authorities confirmed that the accident involved a motorcycle and a sedan.
Emergency responders from the Danbury Fire Department and the Danbury Police Department arrived on the scene to provide medical assistance. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s condition has not been confirmed.
The incident resulted in the closure of both lanes on Route 37 while investigators assessed the scene. No further information about the identities of those involved has been released pending notification of family members.
