Motorcyclist Killed in I-80 Collision Near Vacaville
Vacaville, CA – A motorcyclist was killed early Sunday morning in a collision on Interstate 80, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on July 12, 2026, in the eastbound lanes near Lagoon Valley Road.
A 28-year-old Vacaville resident was riding a motorcycle at a high rate of speed and reportedly collided with the roadway. First responders located the rider in the center median, where they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Additionally, five other vehicles were found on the right shoulder, believed to be involved in separate collisions connected to the motorcycle incident. Two drivers from those vehicles sustained minor injuries and reported pain.
The CHP is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. No further details have been released at this time.
