Lenawee County, Mich. – A motorcycle crash in Woodstock Township resulted in one fatality and left another person with serious injuries Saturday night.
According to the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, a 34-year-old woman from Hillsdale was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Devils Lake Highway near Water’s Edge Drive around 11:30 p.m. The rider lost control, causing the motorcycle to veer off the road and strike a mailbox in the 6900 block of the highway.
Both the driver and her passenger, a 36-year-old man also from Hillsdale, were ejected from the motorcycle. Neither individual was wearing a helmet, authorities reported. A 911 caller performed CPR before first responders arrived, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to a hospital with potentially serious injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
