PENN TWP, Pa. — A motorcycle crash on Route 183 resulted in the death of a 38-year-old man on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Berks County Coroner’s Office, Nicholas DePietro of Reading was involved in the incident around 2 p.m. DePietro’s motorcycle collided with a vehicle that was stopped to make a turn onto Shartlesville Road.
Emergency responders transported him to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities reported that the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, with an accident ruling on the manner of death.
The crash remains under investigation. No additional injuries were reported, and there were no lane closures as a result of the incident.
