SPRINGFIELD – A motorcycle crash on Wabash Avenue left a local man dead, according to authorities.
Charles Laughlin, 58, collided with a car on April 6 and succumbed to injuries at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was pronounced dead around 10:30 p.m., per Sangamon County Chief Deputy Coroner Zach Thomas.
Laughlin sustained multiple blunt force injuries from the incident, Thomas confirmed. The Springfield Police Department is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Sangamon County Coroner’s office.
