BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A motorcycle collision on U.S. Highway 17 Alternate at Church of God Road resulted in one fatality on Tuesday morning.
Bryan Rodger, 60, from Bonneau, died in the crash, according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:53 a.m. when a 1985 Kawasaki motorcycle was turning onto Church of God Road and was struck by a Ford pickup truck, as confirmed by Cpl. Nick Pye of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing, with no additional details released regarding potential injuries to the driver of the pickup truck.
Authorities noted that there were temporary lane closures in the area as responders tended to the scene and cleared the wreckage.
