A Cairo man sustained moderate injuries in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, June 28, on U.S. Route 63 near Excello.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 23-year-old was traveling south when his motorcycle veered off the road and overturned at approximately 1:50 p.m. He was transported to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
Troopers reported that the rider was not wearing appropriate safety gear during the incident. No other vehicles were involved, and the investigation remains ongoing. Lane closures were not reported.
