YARMOUTH, Maine (WGME) — A multi-vehicle crash occurred on I-295 in Yarmouth around 7 a.m. on Friday, involving three cars.
According to Maine State Police, two vehicles had stopped on the median shoulder to assist a driver from an earlier crash when a third vehicle collided with them. This impact pushed one of the stopped cars into the original crashed vehicle.
The vehicle that struck the stopped cars subsequently caught fire. All individuals involved were able to exit their vehicles safely, and no injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation by authorities. No additional information is available at this time.
