Motorcycle Collision Injures Two Near I-580 Overpass in Carson City
Carson City, NV – Two adult motorcycle riders were injured in a collision involving a vehicle near the southbound I-580 and College Parkway overpass on Sunday, reported shortly before 1 p.m.
According to the Carson City Fire Department, the accident involved at least one motorcycle and a vehicle, with multiple riders present at the scene. Battalion Chief Jon Pedrini confirmed that two injured riders, who were traveling together, were transported to the Carson City Airport for airlift to a trauma center in Reno.
CareFlight and Battle Born Medevac were dispatched to provide air ambulance services. The condition of the injured riders has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office have closed off traffic on College Parkway and around the I-580 overpass as they manage the scene. Motorists are advised to expect delays.
