Chester, NY, Identifies Victim of Fatal Motorcycle Accident.

A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County on Saturday, May 30.

According to the Town of Chester Police Department, the accident occurred on Laroe Road between Gibson Hill Road and Bull Mill Road. Officers responded to reports of the crash shortly after it happened.

Investigators found a black 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle off the roadway. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved.

Police said the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when he failed to navigate a curve, resulting in the crash. No additional details regarding the incident have been released.

Motorcyclist Identified

Authorities identified the rider as 35-year-old Patrick Grabowski, a resident of Florida, New York. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to his obituary, Grabowski was a heavy equipment operator for IUOE Local 825 in New Hampton, and enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday at T.S. Purta Funeral Home in Pine Island, NY.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, authorities said.
