Traffic Accident on Highway 1 Results in One Fatality
A traffic accident occurred on Highway 1 near Parker, Colorado, resulting in one death on October 18, 2025.
According to the Arkansas State Police (ASP), 41-year-old Christopher Maurer lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a right curve. Emergency responders arrived at approximately 2:41 p.m. and attempted medical aid, but Maurer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The right lane of Highway 1 was closed for several hours as investigators worked at the scene and vehicles were towed away.
