MERIDIAN, Idaho — A 20-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a pickup truck near Rocky Mountain High School on Friday morning.
Meridian Police, the Meridian Fire Department, and Ada County Paramedics attempted life-saving measures on the motorcyclist; however, those efforts were unsuccessful. The Ada County Coroner identified the victim as Landon Dela Rosa, a resident of Meridian.
Dela Rosa was riding a Kawasaki sports bike north on Linder Road when a Jeep Gladiator entered the roadway, resulting in the collision. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
Authorities closed portions of Linder Road to gather evidence. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and the cause of death remains under investigation.
A GoFundMe page has been established to assist Dela Rosa’s family in organizing a memorial.
