Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Saturday’s Wreck Near Mackinaw.

MACKINAW, Ill. — A motorcycle accident on Illinois Route 9 resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man on Saturday evening.

The Tazewell County Coroner identified the victim as Jefferey Foster of Armington. According to Coroner Charles Hanley, Foster suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the crash involving a truck.

Authorities received the call at 6:18 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, near the intersection of Illinois Route 9 and Leopold Street. Foster was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency response details and lane closures were not specified. The cause of the accident is under investigation, and no additional information has been released at this time.
