SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP)— A 77-year-old man died in a motorcycle vs. pickup truck crash at N 9th St and E Carpenter St on October 3.
JB Logan, of Springfield, was pronounced dead at 2:54 p.m. after being transported to HSHS St. John’s Hospital, according to the Sangamon County Coroner’s office. The autopsy indicated he died from blunt force injuries sustained in the collision.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:24 p.m. and involved two vehicles, resulting in one fatality. The Springfield Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.
Authorities said more details will be released as the investigation continues.
