Cynthia Hoffman family mourns as motorcycle crash claims father.

Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Ride Organizer in Alaska

A motorcycle crash on the Parks Highway near Mile 49 resulted in the death of Timothy Hoffman, 58, on Sunday afternoon.

Hoffman was leading the fifth annual CeCe Celebration Ride for Justice when he lost control of his motorcycle near S. Rainbow Street. His wife, Jeannie, who was riding as a passenger, sustained severe injuries and is in critical condition at a local hospital.

According to Alaska State Troopers, Hoffman was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, while Jeannie was wearing a full-face helmet. Both were unconscious when transported to the hospital, where Timothy was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The Parks Highway was closed for approximately two hours following the incident, with traffic diverted onto a service road.

Hoffman had organized the memorial ride in memory of his daughter, Cynthia Hoffman, who was murdered in June 2019. The event began from Carousel Lounge, with breakfast and live music, before the group set out to visit the memorial site at Thunderbird Falls.

Timothy’s brother, Greg, has established a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral costs.

This tragic event follows a lengthy judicial process for those involved in Cynthia’s murder. Denali Brehmer, one of the main perpetrators, was recently sentenced to 99 years in prison. Other defendants, including Caleb Leyland and Kayden McIntosh, face various charges related to the case.

Authorities are investigating the incident, focusing on the circumstances leading to the crash.
