Fargo Resident Daniel Pollard Dies Following Motorcycle-Truck Accident

FARGO, ND – Daniel Walter Pollard, 40, passed away on October 1, 2025, at Heather’s House of HIA Hospice in Fargo, following injuries sustained in a motorcycle-truck accident on August 24 in Jamestown.

Authorities confirmed that Pollard was involved in the crash while returning home from work at the Stutsman County Correctional Center. Emergency services responded to the scene but were unable to save Pollard, who succumbed to his injuries after several weeks in hospice care.

Born April 8, 1985, in Greenville, MS, Pollard moved to Jamestown, ND, where he graduated high school. He worked in various jobs including at Conlin’s Furniture and Cavendish Farms, later joining the correctional facility, where he rose to the position of Sergeant.

Pollard is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and their three children, Amelia Kay, Lydia Mae, and Nolan James, along with his parents and siblings.

A visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. on January 14, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 115 3rd St. SE, Jamestown. The funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on January 15, 2026, at the same location, followed by burial at Highland Home Cemetery at 1:15 p.m.

The family requests donations be made to Heather’s Hospice House in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are handled by Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown.
